Space Hugs Terms of Service
Who can use Space Hugs
Only an adult — a parent, legal guardian, or authorized teacher — may create an account, and the account holder is responsible for the child profiles they create. By creating a child profile, the account holder confirms they are the child's parent or legal guardian, or a teacher acting with the parent's authorization, and that they consent to the profile being created.
What the service does
Once set up, Space Hugs delivers one encouraging message per day to the device the account holder chose, at the time the account holder chose. Messages come from a human-written library matched to the child's age band, plus an optional personal message the account holder writes. Messages are encouragement only — not medical, mental-health, emergency, or therapeutic care.
Subscription and extra message packs
Space Hugs is a paid subscription (US $10/month). Billing is handled by our payment provider (Stripe), and the renewal, cancellation, and refund terms presented at checkout apply. Optional extra message packs are planned for a later release.
Acceptable use
- Create profiles only for children you are authorized to set up.
- Do not misuse the personal-message feature (for example, to send advertising or harmful content).
- Do not attempt to access another family's account or data.
Availability
We work to deliver every message on schedule, but delivery depends on the device, its notification settings, and network conditions. A missed notification never removes the day's message — it stays available in the app for that day.
Ending the service
The account holder may pause delivery, delete child profiles, or delete the account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Liability
The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be limited.
